When I joined the start-up brand SnowPulse, their mission was clear — to save lives. What they needed, however, was a product range that not only delivered on safety but also resonated with users through thoughtful design and visual appeal.

My role was to strike the right balance between functionality, usability, and aesthetics — ensuring that life-saving equipment could also be desirable and intuitive. The result was the PRORIDER 15, a groundbreaking avalanche airbag backpack that went on to win the ISPO Outdoor Award: Gear of the Year 2010.

Shortly after, SnowPulse was acquired by the international outdoor brand Mammut, with products rebranded rather than redesigned — a testament to the enduring strength of the original design vision.
